Adding Ireland to the map changes the whole strategy, and those 8 new buildings give you options I didn't know I wanted. The expansion slots into the base game without any rulebook headaches, which matters when your group is impatient.
The 18 new cards really open up fresh strategies for controlling Ireland - my last session went in a completely unexpected direction. Fun expansion that adds just the right amount of complexity without overcomplicating things.
The 8 new buildings actually change how you plan your route across the Irish Sea, which I didn't expect from an expansion this size. The 18 cards slot in cleanly with the base game too, no weird rule conflicts.
