Wore this sling over one shoulder for a full day of walking around a new city and it never dug in or slid off. The strap switches sides easily, which I didn't think I'd care about until I actually used it.
Took this on a bike ride and it stayed put over one shoulder the whole time, which surprised me for such a small pack. Only gripe is the main compartment is a bit tight once I add a water bottle, but for keys, phone and a snack it's fine.
