Not only will this beautiful neoprene mat track your ships as they travel to the markets of Ubar, it will give you a place to put the market of tiles you will be drafting as you play the game!
I’ve played this game over a dozen times now and the neoprene surface keeps every tile from sliding around mid-draft, which used to drive me crazy on our old table. The artwork makes the market feel alive while we play, and it rolls up flat enough to fit in our closet between game nights.
The texture of this mat is what sold me—it’s got just enough grip that tiles don’t slide around mid-draft, even when everyone’s reaching across the table. I’ve used it three game nights straight and the neoprene still looks brand new, which is more than I can say for my old tablecloth setup.
The map itself is gorgeous and the neoprene has a nice quiet feel when you drop tiles down, which matters more than I expected. It keeps all the market tiles from sliding around during play, so nothing ends up in someone else’s stack.
