Deception Dice Tower Promo Pack: Cards and Compatibility

What the pack contains and how it fits your copy

What exactly is in the Deception Dice Tower Promo Pack?

The pack contains six cards: four new Clue cards (Shards of Glass, Remote Control, Shrimp, Deck of Cards) and two new Means cards (Cement Shoes, Train Tracks). That is the full supplied contents list; no dice tower, tokens, or rulesheet is listed.

Is this an expansion or just promo cards?

It is a promo card pack, not a standalone expansion. The cards are designed to slot into the Clue and Means decks of Deception, so you are adding variety to existing categories rather than introducing a new module or mechanic.

Will these cards work with my edition of Deception?

The supplied information does not name a specific edition, language, or card size. Check the card back and dimensions against your copy before mixing them in; if your set uses different backs, sleeving the whole deck or keeping promos separate avoids giving away which cards are new.

Does the pack include the Deception: Hong Kong dice tower?

No. The supplied contents list covers only the six promo cards. The Hong Kong dice tower is a separate component and is not confirmed as part of this pack.

How do I use the new Clue cards during a round?

Shuffle the four new Clue cards into the Clue deck before dealing. They expand the possible clues players can point to, so the Forensic Scientist has more variety when choosing what to reveal each round.

How do the new Means cards change the game?

Cement Shoes and Train Tracks are additional Means options. Shuffle them into the Means deck so the Murderer has more choices when picking a means. More options can make early guesses less reliable, especially for players who have memorized the base deck.

Practical questions before you buy or shuffle

Do I need to change the rules to use the promo cards?

No rule changes are supplied. Treat the new cards as additions to the existing Clue and Means decks. If your group uses house rules for deck composition, decide in advance whether the promos are always included or only on request.

Will adding six cards make the decks too large?

Six cards is a small addition. The main effect is more variety, not a noticeable slowdown in shuffling or dealing. The trade-off is that each individual card becomes slightly less likely to appear in a given round.

Can I use the pack with Deception theme packs?

The supplied information does not confirm compatibility with specific theme packs. Because the cards are Clue and Means cards, they are intended for the corresponding decks, but check card backs and any theme-specific rules before combining them.

Is the pack worth it if I only play occasionally?

If you play Deception often enough that the base Clue and Means cards feel predictable, the low price makes it an easy add. If you rarely get the game to the table, the base decks already offer plenty of variety and the promos are less urgent.
