Organize Board Game Expansions with The Spoils

Quick answer

Use the linen and stone tokens from The Spoils bundle to replace loose expansion cards and tokens, keeping your Reavers of Midgard box tidy and ready to play.

How to organize your expansion with The Spoils

1. Sort expansion components by type: Lay out all expansion cards, tiles, and tokens. Group identical items together. Common mistake: mixing different expansion sets in one pile—keep each expansion separate.
2. Assign tokens to key resources: Replace one type of expansion resource (e.g., a special linen or stone) with a matching Spoils token. Use the 6 linen tokens for cloth-based goods and the 3 stone tokens for mineral resources. Common mistake: using a token for a resource that already has a unique mini—keep the mini and use the token only for generic counters.
3. Store tokens in a single bag or compartment: Place all Spoils tokens into one small drawstring bag or a dedicated section of your game box. When setting up, grab the bag instead of hunting for loose expansion pieces. Common mistake: leaving tokens loose in the box where they can slide under the insert—always bag them. Check that each token is still in its bag after every game session. This prevents loss before the next play.
