Compare the BODHI Summit Large Capacity Backpack and the Alternative Transport Backpack to find the right fit for your commute, travel, or daily carry needs.
Quick answer
Choose the BODHI Summit Large Capacity Backpack if you need maximum room for books, clothes, and gear. Choose the BODHI Alternative Transport Backpack if you want a secure hidden pocket for travel documents and a more organized everyday carry.
Capacity vs. organization: the main trade-off
The Summit backpack gives you a ton of interior room for accessories, books, clothes, and more. That makes it a solid choice for long days or trips where you need to carry bulky items. The trade-off is that with a large open main compartment, you may need to add your own pouches or organizers to keep smaller items from getting lost.
The Alternative Transport Backpack is built around everyday organization. Its two front zipper pockets are thoughtfully sized for a variety of personal items, and the hidden back pocket is ideal for a passport or other valuables. The trade-off is that its main interior may be smaller, so it may not handle bulky loads as easily as the Summit.
Style and personalization
The Summit backpack has a stylish rubber lash tab on the front pocket. This lets you attach small accessories, so you can personalize your bag without adding bulk. The Alternative Transport Backpack does not mention a lash tab, so if you like to clip on charms or carabiners, the Summit gives you that option right out of the box.
How to choose: trade-offs at a glance
- Need to carry a lot?: If you regularly pack books, clothes, or gear, the Summit Large Capacity Backpack gives you the room you need. Its large main compartment is best for bulky loads.
- Need quick access to valuables?: If you want a dedicated, hidden spot for a passport or other small valuables, the Alternative Transport Backpack is the better fit. Its front pockets keep everyday items within reach.
- Want to personalize your bag?: The Summit's rubber lash tab lets you attach accessories like carabiners or charms. If that matters to you, choose the Summit over the Alternative Transport. Consider how you pack: if you prefer separate compartments, the Alternative Transport may save you from buying extra organizers.
